We’ll join together on Sunday, January 29th as we close out 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting with our finale at 7:30pm.

Prayer

No matter where you are in your faith journey, 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting is a great place for you to unite together as we strengthen our faith and connection with God and others. We know that praying for a specific length of time may be intimidating for some, but we’ll create a welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable — even if you’re new to prayer.

Reading The Bible

We learn and grow through reading the Bible. God has breathed his life into the very words on each page, and we will experience the truths he has for us when we devote time to reading them. We recommend downloading the YouVersion app. Following 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting, you can read our devotional called “Day 22”, written by Journeyers! It’s a great way to take a next step and guide your time with God. Learn more about signing up below (devotional begins January 30th).

Fasting

The goal of fasting is to draw nearer to God. Biblical fasting always has to do with eliminating distractions for a spiritual purpose. It hits the reset button of our soul and renews us from the inside out. It also enables us to celebrate the goodness and mercy of God and prepares our hearts for all the good things God desires to bring into our lives. Remember, your personal fast should present a level of challenge, but it is very important to know your body, your options, and, most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. Learn more about types of fasts here.

Need Prayer?

From the beginning of our church, prayer has been a lifeline. We seek God first in prayer, trusting in his power alone to create a lasting impact in our lives, our church, and Journey City. If you are ready to see God work in your life, press into prayer.

We also encourage you to read over and pray for the posted prayers of others. Seek God’s presence to not only meet your needs but also the needs of our church community.

Share Your Prayer Request

Our team will publish your request shortly after receiving. All requests are posted anonymously.
