The Journey Middletown
Meet Our Location Pastor
James Copeland, our Middletown Location Pastor, is originally from the south and moved to Journey City in 2022 to prepare to launch our Middletown location. James believes the local church is important because it brings people together to worship, grow, and serve the way God designed it, in community with others. In his downtime, James can be found spending time with his wife, playing Fortnite with his kids, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.

What to Wear
There’s no official dress code, but comfortable is the general vibe. Most people dress casually, but some are dressy.
Parking
Parking is free, and there’s lots of parking available at Middletown High School!
Kids
We love kids, and your kids will love Journey Kids! Journey Kids is open for kids 6 weeks through 5th grade at each of our gatherings. It opens 15 minutes before the gathering starts, giving you plenty of time to check your kids in, grab a free coffee, and find a seat.
Coffee
Yes, we have coffee!
Get Involved
When you are ready to get more involved at The Journey, you can attend Plugged In to learn more about the church, our mission, and find your place, purpose, and part in our church.

Journey Kids
Journey Kids exists to create safe & fun environments where kids come to know God, love God, and live like he says. Your kids will have fun!
“When we started looking for a church home, of course it was important that we felt comfortable but it was equally important that our kids had a wonderful experience. The Journey met both requirements! Our kids look forward to church on Sunday. Our girls were both recently baptized and one now serves in the preschool classroom. They are motivated to practice what they learn on Sunday and I am very grateful for this church family.”
