During the Christmas season, there is hope, expectation, and waiting – but often, also disappointment and unmet expectations. It’s a season of “too much” and “not enough”: too much to participate in and prepare for; not enough time, money, or energy. Into all of this come God’s promises, that can carry us through this season (and every season). For every moment that’s “too much” or “not enough”, God wants to remind us of what he has in store for us both “now” and “not yet”.
