Message Guide – BEYOND Week 1 | Infinitely More
Over the next six weeks we will be learning what it looks like to go BEYOND where we’ve been spiritually. BEYOND is more than a message series. It’s a movement of faith that invites us to play a part in what God wants to do beyond our walls, beyond ourselves, and beyond today.
Key Takeaway
If God is able, What are you waiting for?
In the New Testament, Paul prays for followers of the early Church who wondered, like many of us, if they were enough. The heart of this prayer can also be applied to our lives, faith, and church today. Paul’s prayer is not focused on physical blessings. Instead he prays for deep spiritual formation that makes space for God to work within us.
Through his love, God wants to empower each of us with an inner strength that is stronger than our circumstances. We can know and deeply understand his love when we invite Jesus to permanently make his home in our hearts. The more we surrender our lives to him the more our roots will grow into God’s love, keeping us strong and making us complete.
The answer to our anxious thoughts isn’t working harder, it’s letting God’s love become the filter for everything we think and believe about ourselves and the world around us.
God is powerful and able to do anything, and he invites us into that process, not just as individuals, but as a community of faith. When we remember that he can accomplish infinitely more than we can ask or think, we’ll experience his power working in and through us.
He wants to work through each one of us. Since God is able, the real question is: what are we waiting for?
Pray
Prayer is our time to talk to God. Let this prayer inspire your conversations with God this week.
Almighty Father, we give you all the praise today – for eternal life, for undeserved blessings, and for always going beyond in how you care for and provide for your children. We humbly come to you, admitting that we often fall short of believing what you are able to accomplish through us. Ephesians 3:20–21 reminds us that you are able to do infinitely more than we could ever ask or imagine, and we ask for the faith to truly believe it. Thank you for choosing to include us in your plans. Show us where our vision for your Kingdom has been smaller than yours and give us the courage to step out boldly in faith and generosity. For it’s in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Reflect
Reflect on these questions during your Slot and Spot/discussions with others. Spend some time in prayer today, asking God “How are you calling me to take my faith beyond in 2026?”
- What did God lay on your heart in those moments of prayer?
Read Ephesians 3:14-21.
- Paul says we will be made strong and complete when we know God’s love. How have you experienced God’s love in your life? In what ways has that love empowered you with inner strength?
- What does it look like for Jesus to “make his home in your heart”? Are there any areas you think you have not let him in completely? What could you do to surrender your whole heart to him?
- When thinking about Ephesians 3:20–21, what does it mean to you that God wants to do amazing things through his power in you?
- Can you think of a time you have limited your expectations of what God can do through you, based on what you believed to be possible?
- Is there something God has been stirring in your heart that you’ve hesitated to step into because you don’t feel qualified? What would it look like for you to take a bold step in that direction?
- If you began living like this verse is true, how might God use you to impact Journey City?
When you think about Journey City, where have you seen God working? Where is his love most needed?
- How do you see God working through The Journey? In what ways do you believe the expansion of our church will impact God’s Kingdom in Journey City?
- How do you feel God calling you to take part in helping The Journey expands its outreach?
- Pray that you would be empowered with inner strength through God’s Spirit to take that step
