Journey Students

“Journey Students is more than just a cool student ministry — it’s a family. At its core, Journey Students is where young people can come and be accepted and loved, regardless of where they came from or what they look like. It has taught me how to be confident in the me God’s created me to be!” – Christina

Journey Students exists to help students find Jesus and follow him fully. This happens through 3 environments: gathering at Converge, connecting through a J-Group and serving on the J-Team.

(1st Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm at our Newark location)

It’s our monthly gathering that happens the first Tuesday of every month. Students experience powerful worship and a message they can apply to their daily life. The night will be topped off with an unforgettable afterparty that includes fun activities, snacks and giveaways.

We believe we weren’t created to do life alone. That’s why we have student J-Groups! J-Groups allow students to connect with others their age who understand what they’re going through. From groups playing kickball to talking about relationships, there’s definitely a J-Group that fits every schedule and interest.

We believe serving is the height of spiritual growth, and we have lots of opportunities for students to use their gifts and make a difference by serving on our J-Team. Serving opportunities are available on Tuesday nights and on the weekends.

Exclusively for middle and high school students, Rise is Journey Students’ annual summer camp. At camp, we encourage and empower students to rise from their old life to their new life in Christ. Join us on Thursday, August 11 through Sunday, August 14 at NorthBay Adventure Camp in North East, Maryland.  We will have teaching sessions for students to experience God, complete with guest speakers and powerful moments of worship. We’ll also have plenty of fun activities to enjoy throughout the whole weekend, including zip lines, tubing, and more!
